Cave Escape

Descent

How far down the world has got

Depth first, and how fast you moved once you were there as the tiebreak. So going deeper always beats going faster — but among everyone at your depth, only the clock separates you.

# Player Depth Mean level

How it is scored

Depth, then the clock

A run is ranked on how deep you got, with your mean time per level as the tiebreak. The mean rather than a total, because the game has no level ceiling — a running total would rank people by how many levels they had attempted rather than by how well they play.

Every level you escape counts, and only your best run is kept.

The board is read from Steam once a day, so a run you just posted will not be here until tomorrow. The game shows it to you immediately.
